My guns. My way.
"There's a lot of history in there that I want to protect."
"Growing up, my dad and I would go hunting together," says Eddie, a hospital administrator in Minnesota's lake country. "We'd hunt pheasant, duck, and geese-it was just a bond we had."
"Growing up, my dad and I would go hunting together," says Eddie, a hospital administrator in Minnesota's lake country. "We'd hunt pheasant, duck, and geese-it was just a bond we had."
So when Eddie inherited his father's (and his grandfather's) firearms, it was important to him to make sure the guns and, more importantly, his children were protected. At the time, Eddie had a two-year-old daughter and a newborn son.
"Hunting was just a bond my dad and I had."
Eddie's father kept his guns in a locked closet, but Eddie knew he wanted to do better.
“Being a gun owner is a right,” he says. “But it also carries with it a lot of responsibility. It means having your guns secured so that not only little fingers can’t get to them, but also if your house is broken into, bad actors aren't going to be able to do bad things with them.”
So he started looking for safes.
“It made sense to get a large safe that could hold all the firearms my dad had collected over his life, and all the guns I had collected over mine,” says Eddie. At the time, Eddie had about 30 firearms, and he wanted to leave plenty of room for more.
The question was which safe he should get.
“It’s a big purchase,” Eddie says, “so I researched the top brands. Browning Safes rose to the top. The Primal 49 Tall suited my needs for the guns I had, and it still had room for growth.”
But it wasn’t just the unusually large capacity of the Browning Safe he appreciated.
I didn't have to do any tinkering.
“It was also the layout and the design,” he says. “I liked the fact that there was storage on the door already built in. With a lot of safes, you have to buy aftermarket parts for that. I loved that you just set it up and you're good to go. I didn’t have to do any tinkering.”
He also liked that he could configure the shelving any way he wanted.
“It’s a big purchase, so I researched the top brands.”
Once Eddie got the Browning Safes Primal 49 Tall home, he started filling it up. Years later, it’s still a purchase he’s proud of, and it’s still got room to spare.
“That fact that I have a safe that’s borderline impenetrable from anyone trying to get in there—and it has a very strong fire rating—means I feel really confident with this safe,” he says.
Bigger. Better.
Browning.
